Scholarships and Financial Responsibilities
Because of our club status, the University of Kentucky Hockey program does not offer scholarships. In additiono ur operating budget is over $90,000 a year. Although most of our income comes from game admissions and sponsorship from local businesses, we do ask that each student player pays a yearly fee of $2,000 to cover travel expenses, practice ice time, and uniforms. This is common practice in collegiate level club hockey and we do everything we can to keep the cost to players as low as possible through fund raising efforts like selling t-shirts.
